Air Arabia restarts Sharjah-Sharm El Sheikh service

Low-cost carrier (LCC) Air Arabia will restart direct passenger flights between Sharjah, UAE, and the Red Sea resort of Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, with effect from June 29, 2021.

The flights will be operated via an Airbus A320 aircraft.

The Sharjah-based LCC had earlier halted its flights on the sector due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic that affected the air travel corridor between the two countries.

The LCC will fly from Sharjah to Sharm El Sheikh on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, with flights from Sharm El Sheikh to Sharjah operating on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

Air Arabia currently offers its passengers complimentary Covid-19 insurance coverage on all its flights.

Separately, Air Arabia Egypt will begin direct flights from Sharm El Sheikh to Naples, Bologna and Bergamo in Italy, with effect from June 10, 2021.

Air Arabia’s current fleet comprises of 52 Airbus A320 and four Airbus A321 Neo LR aircraft.
