Dubai South hosts in-person HeliConference Dubai 2021

The third edition of HeliConference Dubai 2021 takes place from May 24-25, 2021, at the Emirates Flight Training Academy, Dubai South district in the Gulf emirate.

Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President & Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, HeliConference Dubai 2021 is co-located with UAV/drone, military and homeland security.

HeliConference Dubai 2021 allows the global rotarcraft, drone and UAV community to showcase their latest products, services and innovations primarily targeted at the commercial, civil defence and military helicopter markets.

2-day industry event

Being held as in-person event, the two-day conference highlights a range of rotarcraft industry topics, including: VTOL solutions for defence and security operations, future of increased versatility of rotorwing applications, update on aerodrome and helicopter regulations, UAE framework of heliports regulatory oversight, UAV and UAS – applications in the rotorcraft industry, and UAS from a businessman’s eyes.

HeliConference Dubai 2021 attendees will get to hear keynote addresses from industry leaders in their respective fields, from all over the world, including: Tahnoon Saif, CEO at Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub; Alessandro Giuliani, Military/Para-public Marketing Manager at Leonardo Helicopters; Mohammed Al Dossari, Senior Director, Air Navigation & Aerodromes Department at UAE General Civil Aviation Authority; Ksenia Neuwirth, Managing Director at Aura MEA UAV; and Mike Black, Chief Officer of Defence Partnership at United States Central Command, besides other keynote speakers.

HeliConference Dubai 2021 is organised by Domus Group (Domus Communications) and is endorsed by the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Dubai Airports, and Dubai South.

At HeliConference Dubai 2021 Leonardo is presenting its latest VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) solutions for defence and security operations.

Leonardo’s main highlight at the Dubai event includes the state-of-the-art unmanned AWHero, a dual-use platform capable of performing civil and military missions day and night, over land and sea.

The AWHero is the only Rotary Unmanned Air System (RUAS) in its class that has been designed to the same safety design concepts applied to helicopters – such as systems redundancy – and guarantees high reliability and maintainability, ensuring low operating costs.
